Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka signed a new long-term deal in the last summer transfer window and he has been impressive under Unai Emery this season. The Swiss midfielder is one of the most criticised Arsenal players because he always makes mistakes that lead to the gunners conceding goals.
Granit Xhaka has been at the Emirates Stadium for three years and he has helped the gunners win one FA Cup during his stay at Arsenal but he has spoken about his future hinting at a possible exit in the near future. Even though Xhaka is an important member of the Arsenal squad, some of the fans don’t like him and are always criticizing him and even came to an extent of attacking his car a few months ago.
Granit Xhaka doesn’t usually get linked with a move away from Arsenal but what he said in an interview with Swiss German-language newspaper Tagblat will probably give the interested clubs hope to try to make a move for him.
“I am very ambitious, I want to take the next step, Arsenal does not have to be the last stop.” Granit Xhaka told Tagblat.
Some Arsenal fans will be happy with him hinting at a possible exit in the future because he has let them down many times but both Arsene Wenger and Unai Emery have shown immerse faith in the Swiss international because he can be a great link between the defence and the attack as seen in the last five matches.
Unai Emery will not be willing to let Granit Xhaka go when he has already lost Aaron Ramsey to Juventus so it will be interesting to see if the Swiss international won’t try to push for a move away from the North Londoners in the future since he has said that he is very ambitious.
