Sead Kolasinac joined Arsenal a few years ago on a free transfer and he has this season been rejuvenated under Unai Emery as he has shown that he can become an absolute beast when going forward. Sead Kolasinac hasn’t got on the score sheet this season but he has made six assists so far and this is pretty good for a defender.
Sead Kolasinac isn’t very good at defending but he offers a lot when going forward and he is always having impressive performances when he plays as a wing back, he has also formed an incredible partnership with Alex Iwobi on the pitch because they both terrorise defences when put on the same flank.
Most reports claim that Arsenal boss Unai Emery will be hoping to sign a new left back in the summer because Nacho Monreal is now old and Sead Kolasinac has shown that he is poor when used in a back four but maybe the Bosnian international and other factors could change the plans of the coach?
We all know that Arsenal will not have a lot of money to spend in the summer so they will mainly focus on the top priority positions that need strengthening. Sead Kolasinac’s form could change Unai Emery’s mind-set of signing a new left back because Nacho Monreal could stay and be a back up for, Kolasinac in the upcoming season so that they can spend the money on other players.
Arsenal has been linked to Celtic left back Kieran Tierney who has been impressive this season and he is just 21 years old but he is however expensive as he is reportedly worth atleast 30million. Sead Kolasinac is also still 25 and the gunners could easily use him for the next five years so it will be interesting to see if Unai Emery will let the Bosnian international continue playing as the first choice left wingback/left back next season or sign a new one.
Sead Kolasinac seems to be the right man who understands the playing style that Unai Emery wants because he is physically strong and very fast which will help in pressing the opponents. And he is very creative on the flanks and just needs to improve on defending.
