Reasons Why Huddersfield will give Arsenal a hard time

The gunners will today be welcomed at the John Smith's Stadium by Huddersfield Town so let's take a look at why it won't be an easy game for Arsenal.

Arsenal’s quest for revival faces a mild test from the bottom placed Huddersfield Town as the host remains at the foot of the League ahead of this fixture.

Can they get a win against Arsenal this weekend?

This looks probable with the real fact that football is not mathematics coupled with Arsenal’s inconsistency in the season.

Let’s take a look at why it won’t be an easy win for the gunners.

Huddersfield’s Home Advantage

Many top sides have made home advantage look negligible in recent years as teams travel to face their opposition away from home.

Pep Guardiola might have engineered such outcome with his technical awareness of the game especially in his time at FC Barcelona.

However in the Premier League games can be tougher with regards to the contribution of the home fans.

This could be very effective especially if the visiting side is under pressure for a desired result in the fixture.

This may be the case as Huddersfield brings their home advantage against Unai Emery’s Arsenal side needing the three points at all cost this time around.

Arsenal’s Poor Away Form

Arsenal’s inconsistency this season has been mainly due to their inability to secure the desired result away from home.

Unai Emery’s side conceded twice to even beat Cardiff City 2-3 in Wales early one in the season.

The 5-1 loss to Liverpool and the struggle in the 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of last year depict Arsenal’s away from this season.

Can Arsenal really turn around their away form this season? This may be too tough to ask as this will require a high match mentality and guile to accomplish as we look forward to this match away at John Smith’s Stadium.

Huddersfield Fancy Their Chances

The home side will fancy their chances against Unai Emery’s men who have got a lot to prove away from home this season.

This will grant Huddersfield the leverage to approach the match with a positive mindset as victory looks probably in front of their home fans.

This may even be enhanced with the knowledge that Arsenal will need a response after suffering a 3-1 away defeat at the Etihad.

Huddersfield would not be under any pressure irrespective of the bottom place state in the League but Arsenal will be as three points will be expected from the Gunners.

This may give the hosts confidence as they welcome the Gunners who are currently under pressure.
