Lacazette will not be involved in Arsenal's match against Bate Borisov at the Emirates Stadium because he received a straight red card last night.

The gunners lost 1-0 to Bate Borisov last night and the defeat wasn’t only the devastating thing that happened because they even saw Alexandre Lacazette get red carded in the remaining minutes of the game. The Frenchman hit an opponent with his elbow and the referee immediately sent him off after seeing the Bate Borisov player lying down in pain.
Alexandre Lacazette had an awful performance before he got sent off, he failed to control the ball in the first 45 minutes and he even missed two great chances that would have changed the outcome of this game. It wasn’t a great night for him as a solo striker even though he did get a goal that was disallowed because it was offside in the second half.
Alexandre Lacazette has taken to Twitter to apologize to the Arsenal fans for showing off his frustration in an unprofessional way in Belarus. He however says that he knows that his teammates will defeat Bate Borisov at home to progress to the next round of the UEFA Europa League.
He wrote;
“Letting the team down like that is the worst feeling.. I should have stayed calm but it’s not always easy.. Sorry.”
“There are still 90 minutes to play and I believe that my teammates will make it to the next round..”
The second leg of the Europa League between Arsenal and Bate Borisov will take place next week on Thursday at the Emirates Stadium. The Arsenal team will need to make sure that it does not concede at home and they will be hoping to score about three goals.
