Transfer News: Unai Emery plans to bring new centre back to Arsenal

The gunners have been awful this season if you look at their defence and that’s pretty much the area which has stopped Unai Emery’s men from being in the top four because they are always conceding in Premier League matches. Arsenal fans want the club to sign a world class defender in the January transfer window.

Arsenal has always been one of the few clubs in the Premier League which isn’t ready to splash out the money on expensive players but it has made some big surprises like last year when it completed the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund.

The gunners are currently in the transfer market looking for a centre back and a report by Calcio Mercato claims that Arsenal are interested in Torino centre back Nicolas N’Koulou. It is reported that Unai Emery wants him to be a leader in his backline which looks very weak at the moment because it currently has players like Shkodran Mustafi and Laurent Koscielny who are inconsistent in this 2018/19 campaign.

Nicolas N’Koulou has played 19 games for Torino in the Italian Serie A and he is a disciplined defender because he has received only three yellow cards this season so Arsenal fans will be hoping to see Unai Emery sign him because they seriously need a young centre back like the Cameroonian international.
