Arsenal's next two matches will be against West Ham United and Chelsea and the one at the Emirates Stadium will probably be decisive on whether Unai Emery signs defenders.

Arsenal is yet to sign anybody in this January transfer window but they have been linked with some midfielders yet the fans have demanded defenders from Unai Emery because their defence was exposed a few weeks ago by Liverpool. So we are going to look at what will force Unai Emery to sign defenders before the transfer window ends.
The gunners have always been hesitant to make signings until something embarrassing happens to them and the Arsenal fans thought that their 5-1 loss to Liverpool would make the club sign defenders in the opening days of the January transfer window but Unai Emery might not bring in new centre backs until the gunners boss gets another bad day at the office as the disappointing night in Liverpool.
Arsenal will on the weekend face West Ham United and everyone believes that they will be able to get a win there but up next is an encounter against Chelsea on 19th of January. This match will be important for the gunners because Unai Emery won’t sign any defenders if his team is able to get a win against Chelsea, so its like this, if the gunners lose the match with the score of like 3 nil then this will force the club to give Unai Emery to spend in this transfer window because the uproar in the Arsenal fan base will be high.
As for now, Arsenal fans don’t have hope of signing defenders in this transfer window because the club is currently linked with midfielders like Denis Suarez, Yannick Carrasco and Ever Banega. So let’s wait and see if the gunners will get a win against Chelsea with its sloppy defence.
