Mesut Ozil sends classic message to Arsenal fans after 4-1 win against Fulham

It’s New Year’s Day and the gunners have kicked off 2019 with an impressive 4-1 win against Fulham thanks to goals from Granit Xhaka, Lacazette, Aaron Ramsey and Aubameyang. Arsenal was without Mesut Ozil who missed the match because of a knee injury which he got a few days back.

The German international was not available for their match against Liverpool last week and he did not take part in the training sessions which they made on Friday so he wasn’t selected in the squad that faced Fulham today. Mesut Ozil was also happy that his team was able to get a win against Fulham and tweeted a message to congratulate them and the fans.

Mesut Ozil wrote;

“Positive start into 2019 for us! Congrats Gunners! Nevertheless it was hard for me to not being on the pitch due to my injury today. I definitely want to help the team as soon as possible again. Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and satisfying 2019!”

The Arsenal fans will definitely be pleased that the German international is looking forward to returning because there were reports in December that Mesut Ozil was going to leave the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window because he had a bust up with Unai Emery.

The statement above shows how Mesut Ozil is following events at the club and most of the Arsenal fans will be hoping that he is still at his best when he finally recovers from the knee injury.
