Match Preview

Blackpool Vs Arsenal: Unai Emery needs this win

The gunners will today make a trip to Bloomfield Road Stadium to face Blackpool in the FA Cup third round. Arsenal will be hoping to progress to the next round because they lost at this stage last season and Unai Emery will be hoping not to make the same mistake this season.

This is the second time that Arsenal will face Blackpool because they were drawed together with it in the Carabao Cup a few months ago and they won the match 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium. The North Londoners will be without a number of players like Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Rob Holding and Danny Welbeck.

Blackpool will be without some of their defenders; Ollie Turton (hamstring) and Curtis Tilt (hip) but the rest of the squad is available for their encounter with Arsenal at the Bloomfield Road Stadium.

Arsenal comes into this match with confidence after getting a 4-1 win against Fulham in the Premier League last weekend but Arsenal boss Unai Emery will however make some changes to his starting eleven because he wants to give chances to non starters and a few youngsters.

Unai Emery has already hint at using a strong lineup in his Pre-match press conference on Thursday and so we might have some top players on the bench this evening.
