Arsenal releases lineup to face West Ham United

Arsenal's starting eleven to face West Ham United has been released and Unai Emery has benched Lucas Torreira and Hector Bellerin.

Arsenal has today been welcomed at the London Stadium by West Ham United and the match will begin in a few minutes from now. The lineups have been released and Arsenal’s boss Unai Emery has selected a surprising squad to face the hammers this afternoon.

ARSENAL STARTING ELEVEN TO FACE WEST HAM UNITED TODAY

Leno, Sokratis, Koscielny, Mustafi, Maitland-Niles, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Kolasinac, Iwobi, Aubameyang, Lacazette

SUBSTITUTES:

Cech, Bellerin, Lichtsteiner, Monreal, Torreira, Ramsey, Nketiah

Mesut Ozil is once again not on the squad that faces West Ham United today despite having trained for the whole week with his teammates but it seems Unai Emery doesn’t want to risk him since he just recovered from a knee injury.

It is surprising how Unai Emery has decided to bench Lucas Torreira today because the Uruguayan international will hugely be needed to break down the midfield of the hammers because it has great players. Arsenal’s coach Unai Emery says that the gunners need to impose their ideas through out the full 90 minutes;

“I know that Saturday will be a difficult match because we need to impose our ideas but also for 90 minutes, we need to control their players and their tactical ideas. The respect for us to them is very, very big.” said Unai Emery.
