Unai Emery makes surprising comment about Liverpool

Arsenal has had a rough season so far because they are still out of the Premier League top four yet it’s their target. Unai Emery was appointed as the new boss of Arsenal in May and he received immerse support from the Arsenal fans when his team went on an unbeaten run of 22 games.

Arsenal faces Liverpool this weekend and everyone can’t wait for this encounter because the Reds are playing against a club that has one of the worst defences in Premier League this season. Liverpool are currently first on the Premier League table and they are yet to be beaten in the last 19 PL matches, so they got a chance of having an invincibles season if they keep up the performance.

Arsenal won the Premier League in 2004 without losing any match and Unai Emery was asked in his pre-match press conference on whether Liverpool could win the most valuable English trophy while unbeaten and he gave a surprising reply.

“They can do that because they are doing it at the moment.” said Unai Emery telling Arsenal Player.

“We played against Liverpool three years ago with Sevilla in the final of the Europa League and I look then, at this progress, in this process and they are a very good example.”

So Arsenal boss Unai Emery believes that Liverpool have high chances of having an invincibles season and him acknowleding that the Reds do implies that the North Londoners will definitely drop points in Saturday’s game. Unai Emery will be hoping that his statement wasn’t misunderstood.
