Unai Emery hints at recalling Arsenal star from loan

The January transfer window is around the corner and Arsenal fans are eager to see who Unai Emery will sign to bolster his squad but will it be a new player? Arsenal did loan a few players in the summer because they had a large squad when the season begun.

Arsenal recently lost Rob Holding to an injury and it will keep him on the sidelines for about nine months and the two yellow cards that were given to Shkodran Mustafi and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have ruled them out of the trip to Southampton because they are both suspended. So this crisis has somehow showed the gunners that they need new defenders in their squad because they only have one centre back available ahead of their match against Southampton.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has already said that he is indeed worried about his current defensive problems but he has however hint at bringing back Calum Chambers in January.

“If we can take one player to help us at centre-back, I think it’s a good option.” Unai Emery is quoted by the Metro.

“A transfer is not easy and the possibility with Calum is maybe one option, but I don’t know if we can do that.”

Calum Chambers was loaned to Fulham in the summer and he has done well even though his team is in the last position on the Premier League table but the good thing is that he has been in the first eleven of the The Cottagers. He has gained some experience and would be great if recalled by Unai Emery.
