Unai Emery’s Main Strikers, Aubameyang And Lacazette Are Injured

Arsenal fans will be hoping to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette fully fit when they face Bournemouth this month.

The international break has begun and the football players are playing for their national teams but unfortunately for France and Gabon, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are currently injured even though it wasn’t witnessed in their recent match against Wolves on Sunday. Some people believe that Unai Emery has intentionally stopped his strikers from leaving.

Alexandre Lacazette was at first not in the selected France squad to play in the UEFA Nations League but he was included after Manchester United’s star Anthony Martial sustained an injury, so they then decided to go with the Arsenal man but the striker was also not able to join the French Camp because he is injured according to the club.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was selected in the Gabon squad that was going to play the African Cup Of Nations Qualifiers matches but he however withdrew after he reportedly got an email from his doctor telling him that he isn’t fully fit to play. Some reporter tweeted saying that Aubameyang rejected the call up from the country but the Arsenal striker replied saying;

“You tell us that Aubameyang declined as if I had refused to come for another reason.” wrote Aubameyang in one of the replies to the tweet by the journalist.

However, some Gabonese believe that he should have come and be examined by the national team doctor. This saga comes a few weeks after he refused to board a plane that was to take the Gabon squad to South Sudan but he however believed that it wasn’t safe and old hence missing that match.

It is understandable if Unai Emery doesn’t want to risk his only strikers because Danny Welbeck has already got a long-term injury and Arsenal still has a lot of matches to play before the January transfer window opens. Arsenal fans will be hoping to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette fully fit when they face Bournemouth this month.
