Arsene Wenger Reveals Possible Future Change In Football

Arsene Wenger spent two decades managing Arsenal and he has passed through a lot because he left the North London club when he had fallen out with the fans who claimed that he had over stayed at the Emirates Stadium. Starting from 2015, Arsene Wenger received massive criticism from the Arsenal fans on Twitter and the introduction of the famous ARSENAL FANTV.

Arsene Wenger was always trending on social networks when the gunners lost matches and he also once said that ARSENAL FANTV made the club a laughing-stock because their absurd criticism ruined the club’s reputation. Arsene Wenger has however left Arsenal and that is all behind him but he has however made a prediction about football generally.

The former Arsenal boss believes that it won’t be long before we see users on social networks picking who should be substituted during games via the use of polls since social media users who follow football have increased in the last few years. As you’d expect, Arsene Wenger says that he wouldn’t be happy with this because he believes that it will ruin the game. The former Arsenal boss said this in an interview with beIN Sports.

“I’ve said many times, you could imagine the next chairman who says that the social networks can make a change in the second half.”

“That will become more and more entrenched. It will happen. I personally, would not accept it. I’m from the old school in that respect. But we’re going in that direction. If you imagine the power of social networks.” said Arsene Wenger.

“What is even worse, it’s not the majority, the minority is the most extreme, it’s a bit like the problem with democracy, it’s a dictatorship of the minorities.”
