Unai Emery Receives Bad News Ahead Of Leicester City Match

Arsenal defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos has got injured while on international duty for Greece.

The international break ends this week and the gunners will host Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium on Monday as Unai Emery’s men try to continue their winning streak in the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery has however received bad news ahead of their match against the Foxes after his defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos sustained an injury on Monday night in Greece’s 2-0 win over Finland. The Metro claims that Sokratis Papastathopoulos could have sprained his ankle during the match hence getting forced off.

This is definitely a set back for Unai Emery because players getting injured during the international break is the reason most football club managers get worried when their players leave to play for their respective countries. Sokratis has been mostly paired with Shkodran Mustafi this season and the Arsenal boss will now have to use youngster Rob Holding in defence against Leicester City on Sunday.

This might however make some Arsenal supporters happy because they have called for the use of Rob Holding in the Premier League because they believe that he is a great centre back. It is believed that Sokratis Papastathopoulos will undergo some tests before the medical specialists could determine whether he could be able to feature for the gunners on Monday.
