Both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have scored most of Arsenal's goals this season.

During a pre-match interview, Alexandre Lacazate was asked about the relationship between him and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. In his response he emphasized on the great friendship the two have on and off the pitch. Aubemayang also said that he considers Lacazette as a brother. The two can be seen in the way they enjoy playing together.
The two strikers were brought in to compete for the striking role. Now the question is, which one is better; should the gunners have the two strikers compete or maybe play them together as partners on the pitch.
Well the answer is both. This is because competition brings out the best in players. A few matches on the bench, a player will see what the manager is trying to put across. It is an excellent way to prove relevance by coming on to do exactly what the boss asks. I believe in letting the player earn his place. No one should have an automatic entry based on name only. Let the players compete for places.
Partnership works well if it doesn’t disturb the whole team set up. Especially when the team is required to maybe play a more defensive approach then one striker maybe sacrificed to be on the bench until the approach changes.
At Arsenal, Unai Emery first tried to forge a competitive attitude by benching Lacazette and fielding Aubameyang. This didn’t yield much as Aubameyang was seen struggling to find space. Emery then tried to play them together this worked out perfectly, the speed of Aubameyang was complimented by the hold up play by Lacazette.
For example, Lacazette started against Leicester City but couldn’t put his name on the score sheet. He played well actually, it’s just that Harry Maguire and Evans put in a good performance in the defensive area of the Foxes. The gunners then brought in Aubameyang into the match and the striker scored a brace once again as Arsenal won the match 3-1, even though Lacazette didn’t assist any of his goals but you could easily see that they tried setting up each others.
It’s the duty of a manager to see what works for Arsenal, either to let them compete or forge a striking partnership. Unai Emery is a good manager, am sure he knows how he will get the best out of these two excellent strikers.
