Video: Mkhitaryan’s Goal Voted As Arsenal’s Best Goal In August

Henrikh Mkhitaryan's goal against Chelsea has been voted by Arsenal fans as their best goal scored by the gunners in August.

The first month of the 2018/19 Premier League campaign ended a few days ago and the gunners played three matches in that month, won once when they welcomed West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium and lost twice against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Even though it was disappointing month for the Arsenal fans, the club still had to make a poll to choose on who scored their best goal in the month of August and since the gunners scored only five goals in those three matches, there weren’t many contenders.

Goals from Nacho Monreal ( against West Ham), Alex Iwobi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan ( against Chelsea) were on the poll and the Arsenal fans made their choice, and most voted that they liked Mkhitaryan’s goal more than the other four goals. A statement from Arsenal’s official website read;

“Mkhitaryan’s strike was our overwhelming winner with 61 per cent of the votes cast, with Alex Iwobi’s finish from the same game in second place, and Nacho Monreal’s finish against West Ham United in third.”

Henrikh Mkhitaryan who scored Arsenal’s best goal in August was however dropped on Sunday in Wales when the gunners took on Cardiff City which they successfully defeated and the Armenian international will be hoping to get back his spot on the starting eleven after the international break.
