Unai Emery has backed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to score many goals for Arsenal as he did for his previous clubs like Borussia Dortmund.
Aubameyang
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has received so much criticism since last weekend after the Gabon international missed clear chances in Arsenal’s match against Chelsea hence the North Londoners losing all the three points which they could have easily got if the striker converted those chances.
The striker arrived at the Emirates Stadium a few months ago and he has only been with Arsene Wenger for just a little time but he is happy to be with working with Unai Emery too as they hope to fire Arsenal to its first Premier League triumph since 2004.
Aubameyang’s performance against Chelsea has however raised questions on his ability to lead the attack line because they weren’t expecting a talented striker as him to miss such chances yet he was scoring many goals for Borussia Dortmund in the past but Unai Emery has also backed the striker to do the same at the Emirates Stadium.
“Maybe the players can not score three good chances in one match and on another day, I am sure they are going to do maybe the same chances in one match and score three.” said Unai Emery.
“For that, Aubameyang is a player who in his career, has scored a lot and he is going to do that here also.”
This 2018/19 campaign will be Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s first season at the Emirates Stadium since he arrived in January this year and most Arsenal fans and legends have already predicted that he will score 20+ goals since he got supporting creative midfielders like Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan behind him.
Aubameyang will also be hoping to score against West Ham United on Saturday because he could as well see himself on the bench since Unai Emery has shown that he doesn’t have favourites after he dropped Aaron Ramsey against Chelsea yet he once said that the Welsh international is an important player to him.
