OFFICIAL: David Ospina Leaves Arsenal

Arsenal has confirmed that David Ospina has left the Emirates Stadium to join Napoli on a season long loan.

Arsenal has confirmed the departure of David Ospina to Napoli on a season long loan but the Colombian international is still a player of the North Londoners.

The goalkeeper arrived at the Emirates Stadium in 2014 but he has over the years played as a back up for Petr Cech because the then Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger used to trust the Czech Republican international more than him.

The gunners are under the management of a new manager and Arsenal signed a new goalkeeper this summer so the Colombian international knew that he had no chance of being the first choice goalkeeper because Unai Emery had confirmed that he was happy with the other three goalkeepers.

Arsenal released a statement on its official website revealing the departure of David Ospina and they wished him well.

“We would like to wish David the very best for the season.”
