Alexandre Lacazette has confirmed that he doesn't tell the manager that he wants to play with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but respects the decisions the boss makes.
Aubameyang and Lacazette
Alexandre Lacazette hasn’t started Arsenal’s first three matches of the new season because Unai Emery has chosen Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as his first choice striker even though the fans have urged him to be using the two forwards at the same time.
Alexandre Lacazette proved to Unai Emery that he is a good forward after he completedly changed the game against West Ham United when the gunners were first held to a 1-1 draw in the first 45 minutes. After his glamours performance against West Ham United on Saturday, the Arsenal fans continued their plea to the manager to be using both Lacazette and Aubameyang at the same time.
Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette has finally opened up on what he thinks about playing with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and he confirmed that he has not made any request to Unai Emery to be playing them both upfront, the Frenchman said in the video which the club uploaded on its official Twitter account.
“Every day, like I said, we talk, we laugh a lot, we work together when we are on the pitch.” said Lacazette.
“I like to be with Auba. He’s a good guy. I’m not asking the coach or telling him, ‘I want to play with Auba’ or something like that. He knows we can play well together and then afterwards, he makes his decision.”
Arsenal fans will however be disappointed with the statement by Alexandre Lacazette because they have for long plead with Unai Emery to playing him together with Aubameyang in Premier League matches, so him also saying that he wants to be playing with Auba would help them put more pressure on the manager to be using the both of them.
Unai Emery is almost asked the question of why he can’t start both Lacazette and Aubameyang in the starting eleven in every press conference, the manager has always said that he wants to have team balance in the attacking and defensive moments so having two strikers on the pitch would make them vulnerable at the back.
