Arsenal transfer news: Elneny Set To Join Marseille

French club Marseille are set to table a bid for Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny who could be open to leaving the gunners due to fear of having few chances this season under Unai Emery.

Arsenal midfielder Mohammed Elneny is set to join Marseille this summer after losing favour at the Emirates Stadium after the departure of Arsene Wenger, the Egyptian midfielder is not in the plans of Unai Emery according to reports.

Mohammed Elneny arrived at Arsenal in the 2016 summer transfer window and the midfielder has been in and out of the starting eleven of the club in the last two years, The then manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger was using the midfielder mostly in  competitions like Europa League and FA Cup last season.

Mohammed Elneny made only 13 Premier League appearances for the gunners last season, Arsenal’s first match against Manchester City showed that their new manager Unai Emery doesn’t trust the midfielder when he opted in playing Matteo Guendouzi while he benched Elneny who is more experienced than the youngster.

The Sun claims that the gunners will lose Mohammed Elneny to Marseille in the coming days since the French club have shown interest in the Arsenal midfielder and he might also accept to leave the Emirates Stadium because he has few chances of making it to Unai Emery’s starting eleven this season.

The transfer window has closed for Premier League clubs but other clubs from different countries can still sign players from there so Unai Emery would have to consider that he can’t get a replacement for Mohammed Elneny if he let’s go of him.
