Arsenal Releases Statement On Why Aaron Ramsey Missed The Chelsea Match

Arsenal has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey sustained a minor calf injury during their preparations for their match against Chelsea in Dublin.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey didn’t take part in their match against Chelsea tonight yet he was on the lineup which was released an hour before the match and the club released a statement saying that the Welsh international had got a minor injury when the players trained on the pitch a few minutes before the match.

The Welsh international was also in Dublin and the Arsenal supporters were hoping to see him play against Chelsea because there are rumours that the gunners are ready to swap him with Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele who has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for some weeks now.

The club took to Twitter to inform the Arsenal supporters why Aaron Ramsey was not on the pitch yet he was on the lineup.

The statement from the club read;

“An update on Aaron Ramsey… Aaron did not start tonight’s match due to a minor calf problem – he was replaced in the line up by Emile Smith Rowe as a precaution”

Arsenal did however miss Aaron Ramsey in the match because they failed to get past the Chelsea defence for 90 minutes and would have been more fierce if the central midfielder played in the match but, the North Londoners go home with a win against the blues.
