READ: Lucas Torreira’s First Interview As A Gunner

Arsenal fans have waited for weeks for Lucas Torreira's transfer to the Emirates Stadium but it finally happened today as the Uruguay international was unveiled as a gunner.

Arsenal confirmed the signing of Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria today and the midfielder is happy to be a gunner now eventually after being linked with the gunners for weeks now.

The Arsenal fans have been active on social networks as they waited for the official announcement from the gunners about the Uruguay international and Lucas Torreira was today finally unveiled him as a gunner after many weeks of waiting to the North London supporters.

The Uruguay international made his first interview as an Arsenal player and the player said that he has received a lot of messages from gooners on his social network accounts.

“Yes, for a while I’ve been receiving loads of messages in my social media accounts.” he told Arsenal’s official website.

“I guess it’s all down to the fact there were talks of me moving to Arsenal before the World Cup started. I am very happy and I hope I can meet all the fans very soon.”

Lucas Torreira has been impressive in the World Cup and this has made all the Arsenal supporters to like him already even though they haven’t seen him playing so they can’t wait to see him in pre-season since Unai Emery said that he will be happy to have him with the rest of the squad in the up coming pre-season matches.

“I feel calm, I am used to coping with this kind of thing in the best possible way. It is a very positive thing that people want to welcome me.”

“It makes me feel comfortable, now I am calm and I look forward to the future which for sure will be very nice.”
