Arsenal has confirmed the signing of Matteo Guendouzi from Lorient for undisclosed fee which is believed to be around £7million, the club announced the acquisition of the Frenchman on their official website.

The French international comes to the Emirates Stadium to start a new footballing career in the English capital and becomes Unai Emery’s sixth signing if sixteen year old Sam Greenwood is counted among the players which the new Arsenal manager has signed.

Matteo Guendouzi arrives at Arsenal after the gunners had just completed the signing of Lucas Torreira who is also a midfielder so it’s seems the gunners didn’t only choose strengthening the defence as their top priority this summer but they have also signed two midfielders.

Matteo Guendouzi has been given the shirt number 29 and it’s the one which he will be wearing next season for the North Londoners.
