Lucas Torreira Finally Speaks Out On His Move To Arsenal

Arsenal has reached an agreement with Sampdoria for Lucas Torreira and the player has confirmed he rejected to do a medical in Russia.

Lucas Torreira has been linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for about a month now but it seems the gunners will soon be completing the deal soon as per the current reports.

Lucas Torreira was selected among the players that travelled to Russia to represent Uruguay in the World Cup 2018 and they were doing well in the competition but their participation in it ended yesterday after France defeated them 2-0. The Arsenal transfer target had rejected the chance to do a medical in Russia because it was incovenicing to him.

The Sampdoria midfielder has however finally opened up and was asked on if it’s true he rejected to do an Arsenal medical in Russia after his country got knocked out from the competition, he said;

“Yes we could have done things differently but I did not want to think about other things.”

The soon to be Arsenal midfielder also revealed his disappointment about them getting knocked out from World Cup but says that he is privileged to have been part of this Uruguay squad. The gunners are expected to announce the signing of Lucas Torreira next week after he gets his medical done in London.

Lucas Torreira has been impressive in the World Cup even though they got eliminated yesterday and the Arsenal fans can’t wait to see him play for them next season.
