Aaron Ramsey Provides Update On His Contract Extension Talks

Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey has revealed that the talks between his agent and the club are still going on but says that he doesn't know when they will come to an agreement.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has only one year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium and the club has been in negotiations with the player for months now but nothing official for now.

Aaron Ramsey is currently with his Arsenal teammates in Singapore as they are getting ready for the International Champions Cup which kicks off tomorrow and the Welsh international has however given an update about the status of the negotiations about offering him a new deal.

Aaron Ramsey seems to be contended with staying at the North London club for more years but will be hoping to get a perfect deal because it is rumoured that it will be a long-term contract but he says that he also isn’t sure what’s delaying the negotiations between his agent and Arsenal.

“We’ll see what happens but my agent and the club are talking.” the midfielder told Sky Sports.

“I’m not sure exactly what it hings on, I’m just leaving it to them to discuss and to figure it out but we are yet to come to an agreement.”

The Arsenal star said that he is also unsure how long the talks will take before the two parties reach an agreement but his statement does show that Aaron Ramsey hopes to sign a new deal to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium.

Unai Emery said that he hopes to build his team around Aaron Ramsey and even confirmed that he had talked to the responsible team on giving the player a new deal.
