Jens Lehman Sends Bitter Message To Fans After Arsenal Releases Him

Arsenal confirmed yesterday that Jens Lehman was not going to work under Unai Emery next season because the club decided to release him.

Arsenal appointed Unai Emery as the new manager of the gunners last month and he has made several changes at the club already as he has also released and retained some people to be among his backroom coaching staff.

Among the assistant coaches released, Arsenal legend Jens Lehman was also released by the club so he will not be working under Unai Emery next season due to un known reason. The former Arsenal goalkeeper made his return to the Emirates Stadium in the summer as an assistant coach and worked under Arsene Wenger but he leaves the club after one year.

The Arsenal legend took to Twitter to show his disappointment with the club as well as apologizing to the Arsenal fans for leaving the club after just one year.

JENS LEHMAN’S TWEET

The retired German international said; “Dear Arsenal Fans , I am sorry to leave the club after only one year again. It was a good experience working with the players as one of the assistant-coaches. But the attitude from our 2004-group is not needed there anymore.”

Arsenal fans have mixed reactions about this as they are un sure whether their new manager Unai Emery made a big mistake to let go of the legendary goalkeeper who was now working as an assistant coach but he had a close relationship with former gunners boss Arsene Wenger so he might have also decided to leave.

What’s more surprising is that Unai Emery decided to keep Steve Bould as the assistant head coach of the first team but he has also come with some of his staff which he has been with at both Sevilla and Paris Saint Germain.
