Arsenal New Signing Stephan Lichtsteiner Makes His Say On Granit Xhaka

Granit Xhaka extended his contract at Arsenal yesterday and his new teammate Stephan Lichtsteiner says that he will make the Swiss international bigger.

Arsenal have so far signed Stephan Lichtsteiner in this summer transfer window and the veteran defender has already started feeling at home at the Emirates Stadium. He comes to being an experienced feeling to the Arsenal dressing room which is filled with young players.

Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka signed a new deal to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium for some more years and Unai Emery’s first signing Stephan Lichtsteiner and the player says that he can make the Swiss international into a bigger player than he is now.

Lichtsteiner revealed how long he has known Xhaka who arrived at the Emirates Stadium and few years ago and says that he hopes the player does better next season;

“I’ve known Granit now for more than six or seven years, so he’s just an amazing player. ” Stephan Lichtsteiner told Arsenal Player.

“He’s very good and he’s still young. It’s not easy for him to be the direct leader at 23 or 24 years old so I hope I can help him to become bigger and bigger. ”

Stephan Lichtsteiner also revealed that the midfielder is a great person outside at the pitch, saying that he is calm and even jokes sometimes, said the former Juventus defender. Arsenal fans criticized Unai Emery for signing an old player like Stephan Lichtsteiner but it seems the boss signed him because he wants the star to be an example to most of the Arsenal players at the club.

Unai Emery has also already restored Granit Xhaka’s confidence after he revealed how he is happy about the player’s decision to sign a new deal and said that he will be waiting for him when the World Cup ends.
