Thiery Henry has always have the dream of managing the Arsenal team one day but he now has a chance since Arsene Wenger has now resigned so the legend is willing to take this chance.
ARSENE WENGER AND THIERY HENRY
The Arsenal manager job is now vacant after Arsene Wenger departed that position after finishing 22 years with the North London club. Thiery Henry retired from football in 2014 and he has taken some managerial courses as he even has a Uefa Pro license which makes him eligible to manage football clubs at a certain levels.
It has been reported that Thiery Henry wants the Arsenal manager job according to the Daily Mail despite the rumours that the Arsenal board has decided to give the job to Mikel Arteta who is now at the Etihad stadium as a coach helping Pep Guardiola. The report also says that the former Arsenal Star will be meeting the Arsenal officials on Sunday to discuss with them about offering him the job.
The legend now works for Sky Sports analyst as well as being an assistant coach to Belgium national team head coach Robert Martinez but it seems like the former Frenchman wants to fully manage a club on his own.
The Arsenal supporters would surely support him if the Arsenal board considers offering him the deal because he is a respected footballer at the Emirates Stadium for the services he rendered to the club in the past. They believe he would bring the old Arsenal touch ( invincible squad ) which be was also in but he was not getting any chance but it has finally came because Arsene Wenger has already resigned.
Mikel Arteta will now have to fight for the job with Thiery Henry since the club has already considered making the decision to employ a former player to manage the club leaving the veteran managers like Carlo Ancelotti who are jobless now but the Arsenal board isn’t interested in contacting him.
Thiery Henry was criticized by the Arsenal fans for not attending Arsene Wenger’s last home match at the Emirates Stadium but he noticed that and made an interview on Arsenal.com on how he appreciates what the Frenchman has done for him.
