Arsenal Gets Eliminated From The Europa League By Atletico Madrid

Arsenal travelled to Spain to play their Europa League 2nd leg tie with Atletico Madrid but have been defeated by the Madrid club 1-0.

The gunners have today been eliminated from the UEFA Europa League by Atletico Madrid after the Spanish team defeated the North Londoners 2-1 on aggregate.

This will be a very disappointing night for the players who will be sad to have failed to qualify for the Europa League finals and it will also be hurtful to Arsene Wenger as a manager because he hoped to end his career at the Emirates Stadium with triumph of the Europa League but he will now leave the club in a disaster because it’s not good for top clubs like Arsenal to finish two seasons without UEFA Champions League football.

The gunners made a 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid last week at the Emirates Stadium and that result was a poor one according to the football analysts who said that it would be hard for Arsenal to defeat Atletico Madrid at their home stadium and which has come to be true because the North Londoners dominated most of the match but failed to use that possession to get a goal because Diego Simeone’s men were defensive minded.

Arsenal’s run in the Europa League has been ended by Atletico Madrid when they were just only one step away from reaching the finals so it will be very disappointing for the club and mostly their supporters who thought that the Europa League was going to be the trophy they win in this 2017/18 campaign.
