Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette returned from injury last week and even came in as a substitute in the Stoke City match.Arsene Wenger has revealed whether the player will be starting the Europa League match on Thursday.
The fans welcomed Alexandre Lacazette back into the squad last week after several weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury he sustained a while back.
The Frenchman was available for the match against Stoke City as he was on the bench and was after brought into the match in the last few minutes of the game where he scored a late penalty goal thanks to Aubameyang who left him to take it in order to boost his confidence.
Arsene Wenger was very impressed with the return of his 2nd choice striker and was asked after the match whether Lacazette was ready for a start in the European competition;
“He is still lacking a competitive edge a bit. He has been out for two months, he worked hard.’ said Wenger.
The manager was then posed to a question for a direct answer whether Lacazette will start; “I don’t know, we will have to wait a bit to make that decision.”
Alexandre Lacazette will surely be hoping that he gets a start on Thursday because every player that comes from an injury is usually eager to start matches so that he regains his confidence and trust from the fans.
