Many former Arsenal stars sent their farewell messages after hearing that Wenger will resign at the end of the season but Sanchez wasn't among so the Chilean international has revealed why.
Alexis Sanchez left the Emirates Stadium in the January transfer window after the Chilean international had called for an exit many times.
Arsene Wenger announced that he will be resigning at the end of the season and most of the Arsenal players and even some former players who once played at the Emirates Stadium sent some messages to the manager via the social media accounts.
Alexis Sanchez has however said that he didn’t want to send him a good bye message via his social media accounts because he instead texted him;
“I texted him yesterday to wish him the best. I could not say anything on social media, but I texted him and he replied to me saying thank you to me. ” The Chilean told METRO SPORT.
The Chilean international has become one of the most hated players by the Arsenal supporters because they believe that he betrayed the club at a time when they needed him the most, however the fans are happy that they instead got Mkhitaryan in return who has proved to be a great signing.
The Chilean international spent three and a half years at the Emirates Stadium and refused to sign a new deal which he refused to sign because he was fed up of being at Arsenal. The midfielder is currently playing at the Old Trafford where he hasn’t performed per the expectations of the Manchester United fans who have been criticizing him on social media accounts.
