Wenger Makes Comments On Ozil Amidst Transfer Speculations

The gunners have long been trying to convince their Arsenal Star Mesut Ozil to stay at the club but the manager has given out some comments on the German international.

The gunners were saved on Saturday by a well taken goal by Mesut Ozil which he scored against Newcastle United because it was the only goal scored in that match hence giving Arsenal all the three points which has helped them move into the fifth position.

Arsene Wenger has heaped praise on the German international for his performances and says that the player guides the team;

“He is mature, he guides the team,they are aware he is on the ball a lot always your heart rate goes down when he has the ball.’ the manager is quoted by MIRROR SPORT.

‘Not only his goal but I would say more important is the quality and the influence he has on the collective game.I believe he Ozil wants to stay, said the Frenchman.”

The manager was extremely happy with the performance of the German international after he had a remarkable game against Newcastle United on Saturday. There has been constant transfer speculations on Mesut Ozil because he is linked with a number of Top European clubs like Manchester United who wish to capture the signature of the former Real Madrid star.

Mesut Ozil has been at the Emirates stadium for four years at the North London club and he has won three FA Cup trophies in those years he has spent at the club. It is said that the German international wants to leave the Emirates stadium this coming January transfer window but the Arsenal boss seems to be fully confident that his star player will be staying at the club past the January transfer window.

The player is an important player in Arsene Wenger’s squad because his the first choice playmaker but he has faced a lot of criticism because most football analysts believe that he is underperforming because he wants to leave the gunners this season.
