There has been a strong speculation over the future of the German international because the gunners have failed to convince the former Real Madrid star to put pen to a new contract in order to extend his stay at the Emirates stadium. There has been no clear sign that Mesut Ozil will be signing the new contract.

It was yesterday reported that Mesut Ozil had agreed to sign a new contract but with a funny condition of him being given the no. 10 shirt which is currently being worn by Jack Wilshere but the midfielder didn’t make any comment on that issue.

The gunners will be relieved by the statement made by the German international saying that he is 100% an Arsenal and will hope that this proves to be enough to wave off those rumours which were linking Mesut Ozil to Manchester United.
